...And that, for me, is the specific cultural challenge: my goal is not to offer some kind of cliché ridden 'folklore', where traditional forms of dance are synthetically reproduced and put out on display.

Instead, I want to create just the right conditions to enable the archaic rhythms of southern Italian Tarantella, in its original manifestations, to find its own way into Berlin's urban, multi-ethnic music scene.
